About

Coach Ryan Haecker

I train around the same week you do. That is not a marketing line, it is the reason Blueprint Endurance exists.

Why I coach

I coach running and cycling because it is a big part of my life. As an amateur athlete I balance work, kids, and training, and I have raced for over ten years. Some of that on the podium, all of it around a full schedule. That experience is the core of how I coach.

I understand what it takes to perform when life keeps moving. I have built good habits, dealt with missed sessions, and learned how to stay consistent without letting sport take over everything else.

Credentials

  • USA Triathlon Associate Coach. Certified through USAT’s coaching education program, which covers periodization, exercise physiology, and managing an athlete across a full season.
  • Ten-plus years racing. Running and cycling, as an amateur with a full-time job and kids. Overall and age group wins along the way.
  • Every plan written by hand. No template, no algorithm. If you are coached by Blueprint Endurance, you are coached by me.

How I coach

My approach puts you at the center and stays flexible. Each plan is built around the time and energy you actually have, not a perfect schedule. Communication stays open, changes happen when they need to, and you will always know the reason behind a workout.

The athletes I work with are runners and cyclists fitting sessions in before work, at lunch, and around family. If you have started a generic plan and stalled out around week four because it never accounted for your real schedule, that is the gap I am trying to close.

1-on-1 coaching runs $70 a month, with no contract. If you would rather work through it yourself, the guides and resources teach the same reasoning.

What I write

Every article on this site is written by me and cites the research it draws on, so you can check the reasoning rather than take my word for it.
